Navigomes has organized the transportation of two bandages from Terrazanno di Rho, near Milano, to Leça do Bailio, in Portugal.

Despite the fact that the items were not particularly large or heavy, their five meters diametre did certainly not help their overland transportation.

Navigomes has therefore organized a combined transportation road / sea / road, using a conventional vessel carrying steel from Piombino to Setúbal.

All was going well until the Italian police decided, from one day to another, to stop any and all abnormal load transports within Italy, blocking our trucks for three days half way to the port, this despite the fact that our Italian trucker was holding a valid permit for those dates!
Fortunately, St. Peter was on our side and sent some winds, delaying ship`s arrival in Piombino, allowing us to reach the port a couple of hours before vessel`s departure!

Pieces were safely and timely delivered to the Portuguese client, without further incidents.

Moral: when things do not go according to plan, call St. Peter!
